JUDr. ROBERT MATAS

Robert Matas was born in Prague and grew up in Germany. He received his legal degree at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg in 1994-1999. In 1997 he completed foreign study at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He completed his legal practice at the Higher Regional Court in Nuremberg. In 2001 Robert Matas was admitted to the German Bar Association. The following year, Robert Matas also became a member of the Czech Bar Association. In 2005 he received his doctorate from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. His doctoral thesis dealt with the comparison of Czech and German jurisdiction. In 2002, Robert Matas founded the law firm MATAS & PARTNER in Prague. Robert Matas is one of the attorneys authorized to provide comprehensive legal advices on all matters of Czech and German law as well as comprehensive representation before Czech and German courts. Robert Matas is as an established German attorney in Prague, who represents small and mid- sized businesses and natural persons by the cross-board matter in the field of the commercial and the competitive law. He also provides legal services in the international inheritance law and in the criminal law. Robert Matas speaks German and Czech like a native speaker. He is also able to work in English and French.

Mgr. JAN BUNGANIČ

ADVOKÁT
Jan Bunganič graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2015. In his thesis he dealt with the topic: “The substantive law of custody and compensation for pre-trial custody". During his studies, he completed a six-month Erasmus study stay at Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen, focusing on criminal law and EU law. He has been working for our law firm since autumn 2014. Following his practice, he passed his bar exam in 2018 with the grade "excellent". Jan Bunganič has been a member of the Czech Bar Association since the beginning of 2019. Jan Bunganič has many experiences in commercial and civil litigation matters and is able to assist our clients in matters related to family, insolvency and criminal law. Thanks to his previous experience at the bailiff's office, he is also familiar with the law of enforcement of judgments. He speaks Czech like a native speaker and he is also able to work in German and English.
